Midway birthday deal |

I’m not a big fan of MidwayUSA, but sometimes buy what I can’t find elsewhere.
That said, I got a pleasant surprise not long ago. I discovered they offer a special deal during a period of time around your birthday, if you have an account.
I picked up 20 boxes of Hornady Black 105 gr 6 ARC for $24 per box. Their regular price at the time was over $50 per box.
Nice perk, IMHO.
I would have bought more, but had recently taken advantage of a sale Brownells had at $30 per box for the same round. Wishing now I had bought more.

If I had everything else but was going to 6mmARC what would I need just to reload 6mm arc. and what would be best to buy ?
is it all universal to all presses ?
I would like to know before getting talked into things I don't need to produce to load with someone else's reloading equipment or to get so they can do it with me being taught
thanks

So my bloody Magnetospeed isnt working just when I need it ......
My Howa Mini 6mm Arc has had a holiday recently this year as I've been playing with my 357 magnum, 22-250, 25-35W and 6.5x55, this week I stumbled across so Alliant Power Pro Varmint so I grabbed a few Lbs with the idea of pushing some 55gr NBT as fast as I could.
Hornady 58gr Vmax data shows 3550fps for top load and with the 5% lighter 55gr BT I'm hoping for 3750fps plus, mostly likely around 3800fps as the barrel is about 40fps quicker with other loads and I have gone for 34.0gr of PPVarmint.
Just hoping to find an accurate node as Ive got a new Rabbit/Fox property that needs to be introduced to the ARC.
Range session on the weekend

How many is enough for load |

To develop a Hunting load how many of each would a person need.
Brass
Bullets
Powder
Primer
As a hunter I shot maybe 2 boxes of ammo sighting in and hunting last year and if I were happy with existing factory ammo I would not be thinking of custom reloads
With that in mind how many rounds do I need to develop and hunt min. I think 20 rounds a year for hunting and 20 to practice and sight in each year would do but how many to properly develop the load ?
I currently have 8 boxes of ammo (103 ELD-X hunting) That I plan to shoot breaking in my new barrel and hunting this year. Right now it seems easier to get ammo than brass, if I need more would buying the Hornady Black and or Hornady Match and use it as break in rounds and then for the brass be something I should look at ?
Thanks

Hornady 90gr GMX |

What is the difference in shooting Hornady 90gr GMX and their 90gr CX
On their reloader app they are listed together with same loading info but different
SD GMX is 0.218. CX is .195
G-1 BC. GMX is .422. CX is .418
But both are listed with the same loading data
CX replaced GMX are both in production now or just CX
Would it be worth it to get some of the GMX if you could get enough to find a good load and have left overs for hunting ?
Thanks

Hornady's only factory hunting round is the 103 ELD-X which has 2288fps and 1197FT.-LB at 300yds
If I want to go Alloy and stay with Hornady and a 300yd max range the only round seems to be the
90gr CX or GMX which retain more than 1000FT.-LB at a reduced load at 2900FPS down from 3050FPS max
My question
Is 2900FPS a safe starting position to work up from if I want to keep with my max range of 300yds for a working load ?
I have been looking at the Hornady reloading data and their ballistic calculatior for my info. That would give me loads at 2900,2950,3000 and 3050 to work with, is that enough ?
Thanks

Forster Coax press |

Is anyone using the Forster Coax press to load 6 ARC? I finally got one, after 20 years of wanting it, but it looks like the available free floating jaws won’t fit the 6 ARC case rim. I haven’t set mine up to try it yet, but just reading the instructions, it looks like I’ll have to buy an adaptor to use a standard shell holder.

Anyone using H335 ? |

If so what bullets are you using ?
Looking at what I can find for data, it seems like lightish bullets for this powder.
If so, great, because I have lots of 95gr bt's and 90gr accubonds.
I bought a pound of H335, so I'm hoping for some ideas on what to load.
I have a 6.5 Grendel too.
